Pilates by Siren Curves Teacher Training Academy is a comprehensive and nationally recognized path for aspiring Pilates professionals. This program follows a curriculum approved by the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), ensuring each student receives a standard of education aligned with industry excellence. From foundational movement principles to advanced application, our training ensures graduates are confident, knowledgeable, and fully prepared to teach safe, effective, and transformative Reformer and Mat Pilates sessions.

Course Objectives

LECTURE HOURS

Lecture hours occur in the studio (Saturdays and Sundays). The studio will be rearranged so the focus is on one piece of equipment with ample space to move around it. To make the best use of the lecture hours, homework may be given. This could be anything from just reviewing the exercises which will be covered in lecture to completing a short assignment and completing modules ahead of time. It is important to review the materials covered in lecture before the next session.

The time spent in the studio with a teacher or mentor is invaluable. The teacher/ training curriculum covers everything you need to know about the exercises.

SELF PRACTICE/PERSONAL PRACTICE HOURS

Personal Practice hours are times when students are practicing Pilates. These include group classes, privates, and self-practice. The required practice hours for each module should be performed on the associated apparatus (reformer/mat). Included in Academy tuition is 20 classes for Pilates by Siren Curves, so trainees can begin their practice hours at our studio after the first weekend of lecture.

OBSERVATION HOURS

Observation hours are when the trainee watches another instructor teach a class. The trainee is to observe and take any notes and bring to the Studio Director for questions, comments, or concerns. Pilates by Siren Curves will offer in house observation hours with our current instructors. These will be scheduled ahead of time.

Occasionally watching videos is acceptable for observation hours, this is up to the Studio Director.

PRACTICE TEACHING HOURS

Practice teaching will start during lecture hours. The teacher trainers will have the trainees read through the exercises and instruct the rest of the group.

Practice teaching can turn into co-teaching towards the end of the program: Two or more students work together to lead a group class while monitored. This helps the students to share and expand their expertise while gaining a different perspective.

100 Hours of Comprehensive Mat Teacher Training consists of 4 different categories:

28 Hours: Lecture in Studio
12 Hours: Observation
20 Hours: Practice Teaching
40 Hours: Self Practice Classes

$1,300

COMPREHENSIVE MAT CERTIFICATION TUITION

Pay in Full: Secure your spot with your full balance (not including taxes). The last day to pay and register is November 14th, 2026.

Payment Plan: Spread your $1,300 balance over 2 monthly payments of $650 each (including a 10% finance fee). Payment plan must be requested and scheduled with Studio Director.

A nonrefundable deposit is due of $350 to hold your spot in the academy. Tuition is nonrefundable after the first day of in studio lecture.
